Having developed arthritis in my hips, I'm doing my best to avoid the Canadian winter. So I'm off to spend Christmas with my sister in California. Since we're then booked on a trip to the Amazon in January, there's no point in coming back to Canada in between. So I won't be back in Ottawa until February. Hopefully there'll be signs of spring by the time I return!
